HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML is a simple computer language for making webpages. If you know some HTML and say to yourself "Hey Smeade! I don`t care about this shit, give me some advance codes. Then scrool down to the bottom and click on the 'Next Button'.

If you want to get a great looking website going you must learn some basic HTML commands.

Here are some of the basic tags that make up an HTML document.

<html>...</html>
<head>...</head>
<body>...</body>

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<title>TITLE</title>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
Body of the document
</BODY>
</HTML>

If you saying to your-self, What the hell is this shit? Well I`am about to tell you what they are.

<HTML>You must have this command on top of the document.

<HEAD>Another command you need. This should go right under the <HTML> tag.

<title>TITLE</title>You see on this webpage where it says "Smeade On The Web"?? Well that it the title of the document.

<BODY>Like a letter, an HTML document has a body and this is where you put all your info. In between the body tag, you put your other html tags.

</BODY>This tag closes the Body of your HTML Document

</HTML>This should be always the last command that you type. This command closes the HTML document.
